We pick you up from your Central Wuxi hotel around 09:00 and drive about 30 minutes to the Lingshan Grand Buddha scenic area. Your guide walks you up the 218 steps to the foot of the 88-meter bronze Buddha — one of the tallest in China — and explains the blend of Buddhist, Confucian, and Taoist symbolism built into the surrounding complex.
