In case of strong winds, heavy rain, or other unsuitable sea conditions, ferry services may be delayed or temporarily suspended. The itinerary may need to be adjusted accordingly for safety reasons.

🆓Incense Offering

Temples on Putuoshan usually provide three free incense sticks for visitors. There is no need to purchase expensive incense from vendors outside the temples or near the pier.

⚠Temple Etiquette

FAQ

Common Questions

What is the best time of year for this Hangzhou tour?

Spring (March to May) brings tea harvest season and mild weather ideal for West Lake cruises and temple visits. Autumn (September to November) offers clear skies and comfortable temperatures. Summer is hot and humid but less crowded on Putuoshan.

How do we get from Ningbo to Putuoshan?

Your guide arranges a private car to the Zhoushan ferry terminal, then a short boat ride to Putuoshan island. The crossing takes about 2.5 hours from Ningbo. Ferry tickets are included in your tour arrangement.

Can we adjust the daily schedule during the trip?

Absolutely — your private guide adapts the pace each day. Spend extra time at Lingyin Temple, skip a stop, or add a spontaneous detour. The itinerary is a framework, not a fixed route.

What should we bring for the Putuoshan temple visits?

Wear comfortable shoes with good grip — temple grounds involve stone steps and uneven paths. A light rain jacket is wise year-round, as is a small bottle of water.
