The itinerary includes a shared sightseeing boat on West Lake, which allows you to enjoy the classic lake scenery with other visitors. If you prefer a more private and intimate experience, you can upgrade to a private traditional rowing boat through our add-on option.
We usually arrange trains arriving in Hangzhou around 9:30 AM and departing Hangzhou around 6:00 PM, allowing enough time to explore the city’s highlights. This means you will generally leave Shanghai around 8:30 AM and arrive back in Shanghai around 7:00 PM. We recommend arriving at the railway station at least 40 minutes before departure.
The train tickets are electronic tickets. High-speed train tickets in China are released 15 days before departure. If your travel date is within this period, we can purchase the tickets after receiving your passport information. Once booked, we will send the train details to you. Please note that during peak periods such as holidays, the preferred train times may not always be guaranteed due to availability.
We purchase tickets through China’s official railway booking system (12306). You can use your passport directly to enter and exit the railway station through the ticket gates, without needing to collect a paper ticket. Our team will provide your train information and guidance before departure.
Your guide will wait for you at the designated exit of Hangzhou East Railway Station before your arrival. After getting off the train, simply follow the passenger flow to the exit and look for your guide holding a Your Way Holiday welcome sign.

No. This itinerary does not involve extensive walking or difficult hiking. Most visits take place on relatively flat and easy paths, including West Lake, gardens and tea village areas. The pace is comfortable, making it suitable for most travelers, including seniors and children. Comfortable walking shoes are still recommended for a more enjoyable experience.
