Physical Requirements & Hiking Conditions
Lushan Mountain is a scenic area with mountain trails, stone steps, and walking sections. The Jinxiugu Valley route on Day 1 includes continuous walking along mountain paths, while the Sandiequan Waterfall route on Day 2 involves more than 1,300 steps downhill and uphill. A moderate level of fitness is required. Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are highly recommended.
Weather & Clothing
Mountain weather can change quickly, and temperatures are usually lower than in the city. Please prepare a light jacket or windproof layer, especially during early mornings and evenings. Rainy days may make the trails slippery, so extra caution is needed.
Sandiequan Waterfall Visit
The visit to Sandiequan includes a combination of the optional rail cable car and hiking. The cable car helps reduce part of the walking distance, but it does not go directly to the waterfall, and visitors still need to walk the mountain steps to reach the viewing area.
Scenic Area Transportation
Lushan requires the use of the official scenic area shuttle bus for transportation between major attractions. Due to traffic control inside the scenic area, private vehicles cannot directly access most sightseeing areas.
