FAQ

Common Questions

Can guests aged 70+ visit Wuzhizhou Island?

Yes. Guests aged 70 and above cannot board Fenjiezhou Island or Wuzhizhou Island due to safety regulations. For these guests, we arrange alternative beach activities or cultural visits on the mainland while the rest of the group enjoys the islands.

What is the best time to visit Hainan rainforest?

October to April offers the most comfortable temperatures (22-28°C) and lowest humidity for rainforest trekking. Summer is hotter with frequent afternoon showers, but the forest is at its greenest.

Is Qixianling Hot Spring suitable for all travelers?

Qixianling Hot Spring is generally suitable for most adults and children above 6 years old. However, travelers with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or pregnancy should consult a doctor before soaking. We recommend limiting each soak to 15–20 minutes and staying well hydrated.

What should I bring for the rainforest hike?

We recommend lightweight, breathable clothing, comfortable hiking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. A lightweight rain jacket is also useful as afternoon showers are common in tropical rainforest areas. Most trails at Yanoda are well-paved boardwalks, so heavy hiking boots are not necessary.

What Li & Miao cultural experiences can I expect at Binglang Valley?

At Binglang Valley, you'll see traditional Li & Miao villages with stilted houses (diaojiaolou), learn about traditional brocade weaving (Li brocade is a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage), watch Miao silver jewelry crafting, and enjoy folk performances such as the bamboo pole dance. You can also taste local specialty snacks like bamboo rice and Li-style pickled vegetables.
