Wuxi is located close to Suzhou, making it an ideal destination for a private day trip. The drive usually takes around 1–1.5 hours each way, allowing you to explore Wuxi’s highlights comfortably without changing hotels.
Lingshan Grand Buddha is one of Wuxi’s most impressive cultural landmarks. You will see the giant Buddha statue, beautiful Buddhist temples, and magnificent architectural details while learning about Chinese Buddhist culture and traditions.
The walking amount is moderate. Lingshan Grand Buddha and Yuantouzhu are both scenic areas with some walking involved, so comfortable shoes are recommended. The itinerary can be adjusted based on your pace.
Spring and autumn are considered the best seasons, offering pleasant weather and beautiful scenery. Spring is especially popular for enjoying flowers around Taihu Lake and Yuantouzhu.
