December through February is peak season, when the Ice and Snow World opens and temperatures stay well below freezing. January offers the coldest but most spectacular ice displays. Early December and late February are milder with fewer crowds.
Temperatures regularly drop to -20°C to -30°C (-4°F to -22°F) in January. Wind chill can make it feel even colder. Proper layering with thermal base, fleece mid-layer, and windproof outer shell is essential. Your guide will help you prepare.
